You know. It’s funny. A priest at a nearby parish spoke about praying for Obama.
A woman screamed at him after and told him he was supporting evil by telling people to pray for him.
I would say she doesn’t “get it.”
We should pray for him to see truth everyday.
I have a bad temper, so I feel for that woman a little bit. I think Matthew 5 is one of the hardest chapters to read, not just because it tells us to love our enemies. But what really grates is the part where Our Lord reminds us that God sends sunshine and rain to both the evil and the good.
As the kids would say, “That’s not fair!”
What did the priest do for that screamer, I wonder. Probably prayed for her.
Might be a good idea to ask St. Paul to pray for her, too, since he is the posterchild for people sure their anger and hatred is righteous.
