It’s funny that you should put DC as a place you would like to visit. (I live 5 minutes from there.) Today I was at the National Zoo with my nieces and nephews and very much appreciating the fact that we didn’t have to pay an admission to the zoo. It is a great city.

I’ve seen DC only from the window of a taxi when I had a lay-over that kept getting longer and longer. (I read a novel, had drinks with an interesting stranger, and finally grabbed a cab for a whirlwind tour where construction allowed.) I have a cousin who lives and works there, but I have yet to visit.

I would very much like to visit the National Cathedral and the Smithsonian.
